In its ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships, Elrazi Medical University, Kano, warmly welcomed a delegation from Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN) on 13th November, 2024. The delegation, led by Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, Vice Chancellor of KHAIRUN, praised Elrazi’s management team for their expertise and contributions to the medical sciences.
Prof. Garba shared KHAIRUN’s vision to foster collaboration and learn from Elrazi’s experience as a fellow science-focused institution. He highlighted the importance of private universities within Kano State and beyond, working in unison to advance educational and research endeavors. He also proposed formal collaboration in key areas such as staff training, seminars, and research initiatives.
Prof. Ahmed Osman Rizig, Vice Chancellor of Elrazi Medical University, welcomed the delegation’s vision for partnership, affirming that both institutions, as sister universities, share the common goal of raising academic standards. He expressed Elrazi’s full commitment to fostering a fruitful collaboration.
Prof. Isyaku Umar Yarube, Elrazi’s Provost of the College of Medicine and Deputy Vice Chancellor, emphasized the significance of collaboration in the medical field and welcomed KHAIRUN’s proposals, highlighting Elrazi’s dedication to advancing shared academic and research goals.
In addition, Dr. Sadiq Abdullahi Uba, Director of Academic Planning, provided a brief overview of the mother university, Elrazi University in Sudan, shedding light on its history, achievements, and influence on the establishment and growth of Elrazi Medical University, Kano.
The meeting concluded with both institutions expressing their commitment to multiple collaborative initiatives aimed at fostering mutual growth and strengthening academic and research ties.
